Dress Rehearsal: The Barber of Seville
Gioachino Rossini’s The Barber of Seville is a prequel to Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro story. It tells the story of Count Almaviva courting Rosina, his beloved, with the help of his clever and witty barber, Figaro. Performed in Italian (with English supertitles), this upbeat comedic tale contains some of the most well-known pieces of music in history. Lunch will follow the performance at a choice downtown restaurant.
