Selfridge ANG History

Apr 21, 2018 | 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM

Lorenzo Cultural Center

From World War I flying machines to today’s battle-tested 21st century aircraft, Selfridge Air National Guard Base has been home to America’s military heroes for more than 100 years. Selfridge veteran Dan Heaton offers some of the more interesting accounts of that history, touching upon the Tuskegee Airmen, the events of September 11, 2001, and a secret departure of dozens of Selfridge pilots on the eve of World War II.
