This year we celebrate the 98th annual Scholastic Art Awards, America's largest, most prestigious art recognition and scholarship program honoring young and emerging artists nationwide. The Michigan Thumb Art Region received over 1070 submissions and awarded 348 Gold Key, Silver Key, and Honorable Mention Awards. SCHOLASTIC ART AWARDS EXHIBITION

Since 2007, the Lorenzo Cultural Center has partnered with the College for Creative Studies to host the Michigan Thumb Region of the Scholastic Art Awards, adjudicating nearly 2,000 pieces, and displaying over 500 award-winning pieces of art from students in grades 7 through 12, before those awarded top honors move on to the National Scholastic Art Competition in New York.
