Although somewhat controversial, some advocates believe that climate change is the greatest challenge ever faced by humanity. Climate change theory is complex, but in the presentation of "Climate Change and You", Parts I & II, Gerald will attempt to clarify the basic concepts of climate change while offering solutions on a personal, city, state, national and global basis. This presentation is the first of two courses. It is recommended that you also register for "Climate Change and You Part II" on Monday, October 16.

About the Presenter: Gerald Hasspacher is a lifetime resident of Warren, co-chair of the Sierra Club Southeast Michigan Group, chair of the 2023 Sierra Club Green Cruise bicycle rides, initiator of a proposal to make Belle Isle an Urban Night Sky Place under International Dark-Sky Association guidelines, member of the Citizens Advisory Committee to the Regional Transportation Authority, and a member of the City of Warren Environmental Advisory Committee. Gerald received bachelor's and master's in music education from Wayne State University and a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Oakland University.
