James Oliver Curwood was one of the most popular novelists of the early 1900s, and he did much of his writing here in Michigan! We'll begin with a dramatic reading of a Curwood story, then discuss the story. We'll continue by learning more about his life and continuing legacy in Owosso, Michigan and beyond. No longer a household name, Curwood deserves a renaissance of popularity among book readers.
About the Presenter: Meghan Mott is the outreach manager for Adult Services at the Clinton Macomb Public Library and was a member of the founding team for MORE's predecessor SOAR program at the college.
