Instructor: Dr. Shakil A. Khan
Pain Management is a complex issue, not only for the more than 50 million Americans who experience pain on a daily basis, but also for their families, healthcare providers, scientists and medical researchers. Unfortunately, there is no one-size-fits-all approach to pain management. This program explores the “what, where, and how” pain begins, how we perceive pain, and the multimodal non-pharmaceutical approach to managing pain.
About the Presenter: A retired physician, Dr. Khan, president of the American Academy of International Education (AAIE) in Clinton Township, has trained physicians for years. He teaches natural medicine, massage therapy, and physical therapy to students at AAIE.
