Instructor: Dawn Barath
This class will broadly trace the history of American film, taking a close look at the developments from the Golden Age of Hollywood to the present. We will review how special effects and Al have changed, and continue to change, the landscape of filmmaking. Another fascinating aspect will be a discussion of the politics surrounding the Academy Awards. If you didn't participate in American Film Part I, not to worry, each session can stand alone, so join us for this presentation on a fascinating combination of art forms and American history!
