Picking up where the morning class ends, Liz Ferguson handles the legal aspects of estate planning. Learn what an estate plan covers, including wills, trusts, Powers of Attorney for Finance, Powers of Attorney for Health Care/Patient Advocate Designations and different types of deeds. We'll discuss what each of these documents do, what happens if you do not have any of these documents, and what your estate plan should include. We will also discuss how to identify your wishes and choose the people you want to manage your affairs during your life if you are unable to act, as well as who should handle your affairs after death.
About the Presenter: Liz Ferguson is an attorney with a practice in Mount Clemens. She handles probate cases both as a petitioner representing her client in filing cases and as a court-appointed attorney representing people who are facing the possibility of being placed in a guardianship or conservatorship. Liz is a very strong and valued MORE presenter who contributes every spring and fall session.
