This presentation covers the unique personal experiences of former Secret Service Agent Radford Jones while he was protecting six presidents and other candidates during presidential campaigns. Because of their diverse locations and abruptly changing schedules, these presidential campaigns are very demanding on the Secret Service. Various incidents and events will be discussed, illustrated by photographs from Jones' personal collection as well as numerous public sources. This class, like all those presented by Mr. Jones, is certain to be fascinating and memorable.
About the Presenter: Radford retired from the Secret Service as special agent in charge with experiences in presidential protection and protection of foreign heads of state. He also retired as global manager of security and fire protection at Ford Motor Company and worked for 17 years as an instructor and grant administrator with the School of Criminal Justice at Michigan State University. He is the recipient of Secret Service awards for conducting presidential advance security arrangements and the apprehension of a person who attempted to burn themself in front of the White House.
