This unique class merges literary fiction with local history settings in our Michigan communities. Taking place on Mackinac Island, "The Pink Pony" features protagonist Burr Lafayette, recently divorced and the deposed head of the litigation department of a major Detroit law firm. He is recruited to defend Murdo Halverson, a wealthy manufacturer from Grosse Pointe. The prosecutor has damning evidence and witnesses that make his client look guilty. Unless Burr can find a suspect, Murdo is going to be convicted of first-degree murder.
