This presentation will explore the American Revolution as a transformative economic experience that created industrial and financial innovations to overcome the challenges of a war-torn nation. It will highlight how war disrupted colonial markets, destroyed infrastructure and exposed the limits of the fledgling governments fiscal power, while at the same time, opening opportunities to develop new markets, new financial systems, and a new economic landscape.
