    About the presentation

    Invasive species are increasingly common in our globalized world. One of the tools to control them is using beneficial insects, or what is called biological control. This presentation will focus on the history of biological control in the USA and efforts to manage invasive species with beneficial insects that are also not native to the USA.

    “About the Presenters: David Lowenstein is a consumer horticulture educator with MSU Extension in Macomb County. He is an entomologist with experience in invasive species, integrated pest management, and pollinators. David supports area residents through providing guidance on tree, plant, lawn, and insect concerns and oversees the Macomb County Extension Master Gardener program. He is a long-running presenter for the MORE Program.”
