Back by continuing popular demand, this presentation is a narration on a variety of topics regarding Harsens Island and the St. Clair Flats, Michigan, ranging from the geological history of the Great Lakes to life on the island today. Additional topics include the shipping channel, the history of island resorts, the DNR wildlife area, Tashmoo Park, and the Steamer Tashmoo.
“About the Presenter: Robert Williams has been a resident of Berkley, MI, for 78 years and a summer resident on Harsens Island at Historic Stewart Farm since 1999. Graduating from the University of Michigan in 1970 and registered as an architect for over 50 years, Robert manages his own firm. He is a founding member of the Harsens Island St. Clair Flats Historical Society and a resident historian for that organization.”
