    Lake sturgeon were once on the edge of extinction in the Great Lakes. These long-lived, migratory fish are making a slow comeback in local waters—including Lake St. Clair and the Detroit River. Come learn about these incredible, interesting and resilient animals, and why their story is the story of clean water, habitat recovery and signs of progress in the region.

    “About the Presenter: Erin Parker is the Community Outreach Interpretive Services Supervisor for the Huron-Clinton Metroparks. Her background includes teaching high school science, working for the National Park Service as a backcountry ranger and a variety of education-focused roles at more than 10 interpretive centers. Erin’s core belief is that nature is for everyone and she lives this spirit very enthusiastically for her admiring MORE attendees.”
